Waterloo Society Copy Peal Book

The Waterloo Society was established in 1868. The book of rules was broadly similar to that of other London societies, and the society consisted of an unlimited numberof members, under the direction of a Master, Secretary, Steward and Treasurer. The members met at St John's, Waterloo Road, every week for practice, and formerly at St Margaret, Westminster, and St Mary, Lambeth. They rang a large number of peals in all the standard and many Surprise methods. About 1900, the headquarters were moved to St John the Divine, Vassall Road, Kennington. This is an old copy of the Society's peal book kept in the ASCY Library covering 1868 to 1895 and a peal board of 1901.
