Name Book Vol 1

The first volume of the Name Book is dated 1735 on the front cover, and the caligraphy is consistent for members up to this date, after which there are changes until the volume ends in 1871. There is a also a note in it to say that the book was found in April 1843 in the possession of a gentleman, and a group of members together raised six guineas to secure the book and return it to the Society. The earliest Society peals are also inscribed in this book  from 1724 to 1753.
