A key member and principal conductor of the Cornhill Vestry band for decades, Paul took over its organisation from Michael Moreton and continued until his passing earlier this year. Additionally, Paul played an integral role in the Society's Annual Dinner, participating in and organising the Dinner Touch stretching back to the 1980s. In tribute to Paul and reflecting his love for the principle, this year's Handbell Touch will be a course of 144 Stedman Cinques rung by: 1-2 Paul Carless 3-4 Henry Pipe 5-6 Martin Cansdale (Conductor) 7-8 Oliver Bates 9-0 Emma Southerington 11-12 David Maynard.
